this guys, i believe is a must watch. it's one of the most mind twisting plots i've ever read, the characters, scenes, dialog, virtually everything about the series is excellent. there's even a movie coming up in november! it's got people raving about it. some even say it rivals works by great mystery and suspense writers like agatha christie. watch and be hooked.  :icon_salut:

Death Note is actually one of my most favorite mangas. And the anime so far stays true with the manga. Oh the voice of Kira(Light) is also the voice of Tamaki-senpai from Ouran Host Club anime.

I so highly recommend everyone watching this anime. It will get better when L reveals himself  :toothy4:

Oh the Death Note movie has 2 parts. The first part has been released this summer and the 2nd part will be released this November. Cant wait till I get them.  :love5:

I've read the manga, didn't really watch the anime, I actually watched a few episodes and since it's the same as the manga I felt no need to continue watching really...

I love Death Note. *jumps* One of the best manga I've ever read. I was surprised that they made a movie out of it, can't wait to see it. I was excited when I heard it's an anime now and what's more shocking is that Tamaki's (Ouran) seiyuu is the same for Kira as well as Usopp's (One Piece) seiyuu is L. It's hard to imagine that those two is in serious genius mode. Everytime I watch an episode I would expect Kira would sulk in a corner and L trembling because he's scared which is fun to see. ^_^

i love death note!! at first i thought that it wouldnt be good.....but then i read the manga and watched the anime and movie and it and im addicted to it now...death note is just so goood... :angel10: :cya: :icon_thumleft:

Who has seen the ending for the anime?

[spoiler]I thought the part where they made Kira walk off from the warehouse and meet his "innocent" self was well done. It had much more of an emotional impact compared to the manga. But I did want Ryuk to have told Kira that he was the one going to kill him or did Kira already know that? Also they should have kept the last chapter where they showed the "one year later" after Kira died. [/spoiler]

But overall, I love both the ending of the anime version and manga version.

[spoiler]At the end, Light went crazy and died. But what the heck did they do with Mikami? So much blood spurting? Didn't he just twisted his finger, how could his entire body burst like that?[/spoiler]

Who can say no to two handsome men in an intellectual banter?  I love how L and Light try to outwit the other. It's too bad my favorite quirky character dies. 

I also like the illustrations, the shinigami design were quite unique and the concept was fresh.
