Who here likes to play video games?

Another one of my hobbies which I haven't mentioned yet is playing video games. Mostly RPGs because of their storylines, character development and innovative gameplay. Before getting addicted to animes, dramas, mangas, my main hobby ever since I was a kid till now (reduced in hours of play time since I have other hobbies to preoccupy my time now, know what I mean  :love5:) has been playing video games. Because I had no sisters and grew up with my two brothers, we would always play video games for fun.

My favorites are the Final Fantasy series, Tales of Phantasia / Eternia / Whatever Tales series, Xenogears / Xenosaga series, Mario RPG, Kingdom Hearts series, Zelda series, anything Mario and pretty much anything made by Squaresoft. I think these rpgs are precursor to watching animes and reading mangas because American game companies CANNOT MAKE RPGs with an actual storyline besides sports, whacking someone's head, bloody fighting games.

Before we could afford to buy stuff for ourselves, our parents bought us the Super Famicom computer in the Philippines, which is like the nintendo equivalence in America. Then Super Nintendo >> Nintendo 64 >> Playstation (this was the last ones my parents bought for us). When my brothers started working and can afford it they bought >> Dreamcast >> Playstation 2 >> Gamecube >> Playstation 3 >> Wii.

I swear my family spent so much money buying all of these systems. Geez why can't they stop making new system and just make games for them. So expensive to have to buy new system every 3-4 years. And every time a new system comes out, my family would send the older systems to our family back in Philippines. Hoping that the game memory is not erased because my bros and I worked so hard in leveling up. But yah, haven't gone back to the Philippines to check up on our games. Anyways, which games have you played, what you liked about them and etc.

Woah! I loooove video games! Seriously, i thought you're not into it since you're not talking about it much... but your long post proves you really are... lol...

Anyway, I'm into video games since I was a kid too... but I dont buy much game consoles, since my parents worry too much that i might flop in my studies...and I did a little (for me...) when i got addicted to mmorpg after. I quite remember playing mario bros. (of course!), final fantasy ( my fave XD), digimon, pokemon, diablo, zelda (although i haven't finished it yet coz i gave up... -_-") and a lot more...

I wish i had older siblings that can buy me stuff... so lucky... T_T
Well, I only had 1 older sibling (boy) which is currently in college and another one which is younger (girl), my brother isnt much addicted to games and my sister hates it( coz she always lose to me)... >_>

I have one older bro and another younger. Though they buy the systems, I also buy the games. Right now I'm currently playing (have been trying to finish) Final Fantasy 12, need to play Zelda Twilight Princess (if my younger bro ever lets me borrow the wii in his apt). The first RPG game I ever played was Mario RPG and from then on I was addicted to them. I think I replayed that game like 20 times because there were no other RPGs in the market then or at least I didnt know. Then discovered other games made by same company who made Mario RPG called Squaresoft. From then on, whenever they come out with a new game my brothers and I would get them or borrow the cartridges from friends. That's how I got to love the final fantasy and xenogears series.

When Nintendo 64 came out, we were so amazed by the 3d graphics and environment especially with Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. To this day, I considered that game to be the greatest Zelda ever. LOL you know killing all those chickens (fun but seriously never knew chickens can kill you instantly).

I kind of like games that make me think and solving puzzles. Because I tried playing those fighting games and when I played it once, I suddenly got bored with them because it never changes since all you do is press the buttons or whack it many times to perform combos. My brothers were the ones who like those games.

My older bro was the one who liked playing fighting or action games like Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Parasite Eve, Shinobi series. I get too freaked out when I play those games so I just watch him play.

Ahh this is getting too long again. Anyone else likes to play video games?

aaah!! resident evil... lol i remember i bought one before... then i quit while watching the intro... after, i got nightmares about zombies... Lol... i slept in my parent's room ... XD

anyway, im not into fighting games too ... i played tekken 3... but got bored immediately. I love the zelda games... though i still cant finish the minish cap >_> (gaaah!!! >_<) One thing why i like it is bcoz of its puzzles... and im much delighted every time i solve one... lol coz i rarely do (i give up easily after 1-2 tries)

When i'll have a job, the first thing i'll buy out of my salary would be the games... >_>
My parents only buy me books... T___T

Well, I'm a former excessive Warcraft 3 gamer, turned to 9Dragons for an RPG and now I simply play on my PSP and use my computer for work and the internet.

I enjoy them, but I'm not as obsess as I was when I was younger. I remember playing some Atari. Anyways, I haven't played in awhile, but the last game I was trying to beat was Twilight Princess on Gamecube. I wish I can afford a Wii :(

I'm really into adventure/rpg/action games I guess. Not really a big fan of sport games.

Haha, anyways, I too, respond to the siren call of a good RPG. The Tales series and The Legend of Zelda being my favorite. Mario Party mini games entertain me for hours on end as well. The only Final Fantasy game I got into (and never finished) was Final Fantasy XII, oh how I wish I could finish it. Dance Dance Revolution is another game I'll play until passing out. @_@

Lol... dance dance revo is a good one, but it tires me a lot. >.<
I play audition philippines though, it's currently my favorite. I also like Warcraft III (Dota), lol I use Lina Inverse all the time because of the anime lina inverse that i watched before. Twilight Princess is another zelda game that i can't finish ~_~" Well... I refuse to use gamefaqs, I just really wanted to finish the game on my own. >.< Hmm... I play step mania, ragnarok online (valkyrie server), halo... and i'm playing around with sims 2.

My history of gaming all started with the gameboy, the one that was huuuuge, almost too big for my little fingers (back then). We used to play the old mario all day, and some japanese games. I also got addicted to pokemon Red (the original one).

Then i got my N64, played mischief makers, mario 64, supersmash (all time favorite).

My gamecube gave access to all kinds of games like: mario sunshine, luigi's mansion, starfox adventures, tonyhawk underground 2, animal crossing, gotcha force, supersmash bros. melee (all time favorite).

Now i've bought a Wii, but i'm only wtuck with wii sports, twilight princess, red steel, warrioware and mario galaxy...
I have played supersmash bros. Brawl in Hong Kong, when i was on vacation. I got addicted and removed from the store by the storekeeper. i tried all kind of other gamestores to play SSBB, i love the game sooo much (new all time favorite)!!!!

In a nutshell: i like nintendo...
