The WORST day

This is the worst day in my life. I will never ever forget the moment I was defeated in the homepage development (contest). Well, I should have accepted that fact easily IF I haven't planned my site and all and I exerted 0% effort. Luck, why did you abandon me? ToT

Reasons why my well-planned website was ruined:
a) The computer assigned to me SUCKED. My opponents had the best computers while mine can't even open three programs at the same time.
b) I requested to transfer to a different computer, but since the one assigned to me was already the best among the sucking computers left, I had no choice but to stick with it. And 30 min. was wasted! And they didn't allow me to have my time extended.
c) There was no flash player. No flash plug-in. Flash was blocked in the computer. It's one of the reasons because I'm better in working with flash and I planned to display a video from youtube but since flash is disabled, my plan was a failure.
d) Again, since flash was missing, I cannot download my damn resources (images, articles, layout) because I uploaded it all in MEGAUPLOAD (I didn't expect this to happen so I didn't take down notes. I thought of just logging in my account). So I was forced to do it all over again from scratch.
e) E-mail was not allowed. I used it for back-up in case there will be some problem (attachments), but I wasn't able to extract resources from both leaving me no choice.
f) If there was no flash player, why didn't I just install it? Because installation was disabled. We were using a guest account.
g) Since installations was again not possible, my plan to have a forum was ruined. (Interactivity 10%)
h) They didn't declare the program to be used. I practiced on macromedia dreamweaver since I thought it was easier for me and has good animations. But the software provided was microsoft frontpage, and since I haven't used frontpage for like a year now, I experimented on it for a while causing me to waste time.
i) They didn't inform us that their computers are not well-equipped with the necessary softwares.

Reasons for having a heavy heart:
1. My opponent who won first place made an awfully-designed site. It was so... noob-like. A plain blue background, some small box with text in it (since it's small, you have to scroll up, down, right, left to read the text in it, the logo and banner was very bad (the edges are done roughly cause he used ms paint)... but, it was complete in info. Mine was... well, "clean". My coach told me that it was like done by a professional (various shades of green that matches with the color of the logo, nice banner since i used photoshop, nice effects, but was incomplete in info). They required it to be done just in the local server. I should have saved it in a hosting site, but nah... time was short.
2. I planned my site all night and barely had 5 hrs. of sleep *was indecisive*,and this is what I get?  :crybaby2:

Ummm...question....

what was the competition for? was it for school or something? And don't worry about it....That kind of thing also happened to me in my first year....we were tasked to make our own website (it was project), and I had planned out what I was going to do the night before...I downloaded images, lay-outs, etc., but when we were already in the comp lab, my computer's disk drive wasn't working, so I couldn't open my disk where I saved everything...and I couldn't download them again either, because the teachers disabled the internet connection....*sigh...efforts wasted.... anyways, don't let it get you down....there are many more chances of winning in the future you know....

Btw, just in case you need a comrade in you misery (what can we say? Misery calls for company, lol) , I just had one of the worst weeks of my life.... The teachers are just simply slavedrivers...so many assignments and projects to do overnight, and it's the week before the quarter exams, no less!!! *Argh!!!! Hi..! What a bad day you had...but i understand it well...those kind of problems happened at my computer lab at my univ. and i strugle with it just like you.

But be proud of yourself...you know you can do it, it just not the chance yet...and im sure next time you'll win it...just imagine yourself like Peter Parker at Superman...he can do it...it just the condition is not right...you are just like a diamond to discover...dont worry...one day everyone will realise who is the real talented one..

And again..be proud for you know you can do it better it just not the time yet.. ^^
