Considering that San Diego, California is currently experiencing an enormous emergency, what would you bring during these kinds of situations? When I was in high school, I took a health class and we had an experiment where they asked us to write "what would you bring with you if you had to stay in an abandoned island"? Not thinking that kind of situation would ever happen to me, I didn't think much of it. But now thousands of people are getting evacuated and their homes are burned down. Some had plenty of time to prepare, others not and some are too dumb to think that they can stop the fire themselves and save their home and possessions using a garden hose.
What would you do in these types of situation?
What would you bring with you (not including family members and pets since those are common sense)?
How would you feel about the stuff you can't bring with you?
How would you help those people who have been affected by these type of situations?
Please share your opinions with us, because it might help console some people who are already being affected by this situation (like me). My family, relatives and friends are currently NOT in the danger zone (THANK GOD), but many San Diegans, have already lost their precious homes.
For a footage of the fire my home was close to:

My Gosh ! Fortunately I'm at Paris ! It's obvious that I couldn't take everything with me but I guess I'd take things like photo albums, favorite stuff. Because I can buy clothes, but there're things I can't buy.
