Hey thanks for requesting Basara. I've never heard of it before and just started reading it yesterday. Thanks to you, I got another awesome manga to add to my digital collection.

It reminds me of Anatolia Story or Legend of Nereid since there is a strong female character pretending to be a guy to save the world. I'm such a sucker for these type of stories.

If you have other mangas you can recommend that's not on my list yet, feel free to do so because I might like it as well and a lot of others too.  :icon_flower: :love5:

Oh golly!!! I sooo love this manga!!!! I've downloaded the anime for this some month ago because I was asked by somebody to upload it, but it was only yesterday that I started to watch it. I finished the whole 13 episodes yesterday, and I hated the fact that only part of the story was converted into anime!!! :angry9: :angry9:And I hate the fact that the manga was only scanlated up till volume 20 because of licensing when there are just 5 volumes more to go before the end of the main story!!!! :angry9: :angry9: :crybaby2: :crybaby2: Does somebody have the raws for volume 25? that's all I ask!!! I already have the translations for it, so I just need the graphics to go along with it!!!  :help: :help: :help: :help:

WHATTT!!! Really, Basara scanlations has stopped on v20? Are You sure? They could just be taking a long time to update it. Hopefully it didn't stop because I love the manga so much and need to know the ending. Gaahhh  :angry9: I don't want it to be like those other mangas that never gets finished and left hanging on my hard drive. Need to burn so many off of my computer.

Yeah, the scanlators MangaOne has it in their dropped projects....So sad..... but fortunately, I just found the scanlations for volume 25 ^^.....But the ending is just soooo...so....cliff-hanging!!!!!! Anyways, the rest of the  volumes (26, 27 and part of vol. 25) are just side stories about the past or about the other characters ^^....And I forgot to say...SHURI's SOOOO CUUUUTEEEEEE!!!! :love5: :love5: :love5:

Oopss.... I made a mistake on my last post, sorry.... It's not a scanlation....It's only a raw (it's in chinese)....Sorry for the misunderstanding...though if you still want the link for it....I can give it to you this week..... (i'ms sooo  busy with school nowadays....) :icon_thumright:

Eeeekk, nevermind. I can't understand Chinese  :crybaby2: . Oh I asked the MangaOne admins on their IRC channel and they said they are still scanlating Basara, but unexpected events happened (well their computer crashed and lost all files) so that's the reason why they haven't released anything for so long. They are slowly getting everything back on track and will soon be releasing more Basara chapters. But it will still take a long while for the volume to be completed so yah gotta wait for it.

By the way, how long did it take you to read the available volumes? I am currently on v10, but its so addicting that I want to finish all of it in one go. Except work, sleep and food has to get in the way. LOL  :love5: .

LOL, I didn't read all of the manga chapters...instead, I just watched the anime for it and then picked up from where I left off in the manga....I have little time available for free, so that way I could conserve more time....But I'd start reading the manga volumes I haven't read when sem break comes ^^....

And by the way, I have the translation for the 2nd chapter of the volume 25.... That way, even though I don't understand chinese, I still had an idea what was going on ^^....

btw, chap 2 of vol 25 is the last or is the ending of the whole main Basara series.....

And its good that they'll (MangaOne) still be continuing Basara....I was heartbroken when i found it in their site that Basara was colored blue, meaning it was dropped.... I mean, there are a lot of good mangas out there that scanlators dropped due to the fact that these manga are being licensed....

I'd also recommend you to watch the anime version of it.....its only 13 episodes long and is a real cliff hanger...but then again, there's the manga... :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :hello: :icon_cheers:
